7 An Act relating to absentee ballots; amending 26 O.S.
7 2011, Section 14-133, which relates to notification
8 of rejection; requiring opportunity to cure certain
8 defective application or affidavit; requiring
9 Secretary of State Election Board to promulgate
9 certain rules and procedures; and providing an
10 effective date.

13 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:

14 SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 26 O.S. 2011, Section 14-133, is
14
15 amended to read as follows:
15
16 Section 14-133. A. In the event a voter’s application or
16
17 affidavit is rejected for any reason, the secretary of the county
17
18 election board shall immediately notify said the voter in writing of
18
19 the rejection and the reason therefor for the rejection.
19
20 B. A voter receiving notice as described in subsection A of
20
21 this section shall be given the opportunity to cure the defective
21
22 application or affidavit pursuant to rules and procedures
22
23 promulgated by the Secretary of the State Election Board.

 1 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2021.
