A RESOLUTION
Honoring the Wooster Generals wheelchair basketball team
as the 2023 Ohio Interscholastic State Champion.
WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th 1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to 2
the Wooster Generals wheelchair basketball team on winning the 3
2023 Ohio Interscholastic State Championship; and 4
WHEREAS, The talented members of the Wooster Generals wheelchair 5
basketball team are, indeed, to be heartily commended, for they have 6
decisively earned this year’s championship crown at the Ohio 7
Interscholastic Wheelchair Basketball State Tournament. Without 8
exception, these fine athletes prepared conscientiously in pursuit of 9
the championship, devoting countless hours to training and practice in 10
order to ensure peak conditioning, and clearly, their efforts have 11
paid handsome dividends as the team won its fifth consecutive state 12
title; and 13
WHEREAS, The players of the Wooster Generals wheelchair 14
basketball team have epitomized the power, poise, and precision that 15
befit authentic champions. Time and again, they have risen to the 16
occasion, amply demonstrating their unflagging determination, and 17
their impressive maturity and finesse have earned them widespread 18
respect, even among their staunchest rivals; and 19
WHEREAS, By weathering a rigorous schedule and prevailing over 20
numerous adversaries, the members of the Wooster Generals wheelchair 21
basketball team have learned much about dedication, self-discipline, 22
leadership, and perseverance. Their first-place finish reflects their 23
strong commitment to the sport, and their indomitable spirit has made 24
their families, friends, and coaches extremely proud. This triumph 25
attests to the steadfast resolve of these fantastic Ohioans, and it 26

As Adopted by the House
signifies the acquisition of valuable experience and fond memories 27
that are sure to be treasured for years to come; therefore be it 28
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of 29
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, 30
applaud the Wooster Generals wheelchair basketball team on its 31
brilliant season and wish the athletes who comprise the squad 32
continued success in all of their future endeavors; and be it further 33
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit 34
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Wooster Generals 35
wheelchair basketball team. 36
