                       A RESOLUTION
            Honoring the Archbishop Hoban High School boys basketball
              team as the 2023 Division I State Champion.
     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly     1
of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Archbishop Hoban High School      2
boys basketball team on winning the 2023 Division I State                 3
Championship; and                                                         4
     WHEREAS, Known as a driven and spirited squad, the members of the    5
Archbishop Hoban High School boys basketball team has developed into      6
an efficient group of highly skilled athletes whose talent is equaled     7
only by their commendable display of teamwork. They overcame a strong     8
Pickerington High School Central team by the score of 53-47 to secure     9
this year’s Division I State Championship title, and their                10
achievements are a justifiable source of pride not only for them but      11
also for their families, their coach, T.K. Griffith, their school, and    12
their community; and                                                      13
     WHEREAS, The members of the Archbishop Hoban High School boys        14
basketball team have demonstrated remarkable energy, enthusiasm, and      15
dedication in all of their endeavors, and their athletic prowess is       16
reflected in their outstanding success. Indeed, the Knights have          17
established themselves as winners, both in and out of competition, and    18
they are truly worthy of high praise; and                                 19
     WHEREAS, The Archbishop Hoban High School boys basketball team has   20
exemplified the qualities necessary for excellence in sports,             21
including strength, stamina, agility, and perseverance. This exemplary    22
program has certainly set an example for others to emulate; therefore     23

    RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General     25

As Adopted by the Senate
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend the Archbishop         26
Hoban High School boys basketball team on its tremendous season and           27
salute the athletes and coach as some of Ohio’s finest citizens; and          28
be it further                                                                 29
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly                   30
authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Archbishop Hoban High            31
School boys basketball team.                                                  32
