                       A RESOLUTION
            Honoring Keira Leneghan as a 2023 State Gymnastics
              Champion.
     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly     1
of Ohio are pleased to commend Keira Leneghan on placing first in the     2
uneven parallel bars at the 2023 OHSAA State Gymnastics Tournament;       3
and                                                                       4
     WHEREAS, Keira Leneghan is, indeed, a tremendous athlete, and her    5
outstanding ability and spirited drive have distinguished her as a        6
standout member of the Magnificat High School gymnastics team. At this    7
year’s OHSAA State Tournament, she won first place in the uneven          8
parallel bars with a score of 9.525, and she has gained the respect       9
and admiration of all those who have witnessed her in action; and         10
     WHEREAS, Few sports embody the spirit of individual accomplishment   11
more than gymnastics, and competitors such as Keira Leneghan exemplify    12
the qualities necessary for lasting excellence, including discipline,     13
agility, conditioning, and focus. Indeed, throughout long hours of        14
practice, she has consistently demonstrated the talent and motivation     15
that are the hallmarks of a true champion; and                            16
     WHEREAS, In an educational system that seeks to teach the future     17
leaders of our state and nation the fundamentals of self-reliance and     18
the rewards of individual effort, athletic competition has become a       19
valuable educational tool. Through her participation in sports, Keira     20
Leneghan has learned lessons of perseverance, hard work, and              21
dedication that will undoubtedly be of great benefit to her throughout    22
her lifetime; therefore be it                                             23
     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General    24
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, pay tribute to Keira       25

As Adopted by the Senate
Leneghan on her 2023 State Gymnastics Championship title and extend        26
best wishes for continued success; and be it further                       27
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly                28
authenticated copy of this Resolution to Keira Leneghan.                   29
