A RESOLUTION
Honoring the Upper Arlington High School girls 200-yard medley relay
team as the 2023 Division I State Swimming Champion.
WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th 1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Upper 2
Arlington High School girls 200-yard medley relay team on placing 3
first at the 2023 Division I State Meet; and 4
WHEREAS, The members of the Upper Arlington High School girls 5
200-yard medley relay team, Ava Snider, McCall Freiburger, Hayden 6
Hollingsworth, and Ashton Mumaw, have epitomized the power, poise, and 7
precision that befit true champions. They have consistently maintained 8
their composure and morale, exhibiting strength, speed, stamina, and 9
agility in every challenging encounter, and their first-place finish 10
at this year’s Division I State Meet with a time of 1:43.42 is a 11
testament to their outstanding talents; and 12
WHEREAS, Time and again, the athletes who comprise the Upper 13
Arlington High School girls 200-yard medley relay team have risen to 14
the occasion, amply demonstrating their unflagging determination. 15
Without exception, they prepared conscientiously in pursuit of their 16
goals, devoting countless hours to training and practice in order to 17
ensure peak conditioning, and clearly, this demanding regimen has paid 18
handsome dividends; and 19
WHEREAS, By weathering a rigorous schedule and prevailing over a 20
host of adversaries, the members of the Upper Arlington High School 21
girls 200-yard medley relay team have learned much about dedication, 22
self-discipline, leadership, and perseverance. Their remarkable 23
performance is a measure of their stalwart commitment to the sport, 24
and their indomitable spirit has made their families, friends, and 25
coach extremely proud; therefore be it 26

As Adopted by the House
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of 27
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, 28
praise the Upper Arlington High School girls 200-yard medley relay 29
team on its impressive 2023 state title and wish the swimmers 30
continued success in all of their future endeavors; and be it further 31
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit 32
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Upper Arlington 33
High School girls 200-yard medley relay team. 34
