A RESOLUTION
Honoring the Reily Township Fire Department
as the 2023 Ohio Fire Department of the Year.
WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th 1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to 2
the Reily Township Fire Department on being presented with the 2023 3
Ohio Fire Department of the Year Award by the Ohio Department of 4
Commerce Division of State Fire Marshal; and 5
WHEREAS, This prestigious award is a fitting tribute to the Reily 6
Township Fire Department, for throughout its history, it has attained 7
a praiseworthy record of service to local residents. The achievements 8
of this entirely volunteer department are a justifiable source of 9
pride and a fine reflection not only on the institution itself but 10
also on its diligent members and on the entire community; and 11
WHEREAS, While many people are content to take a passive role in 12
life, the members of the Reily Township Fire Department have 13
continually risked their own safety to ensure the well-being of their 14
fellow citizens, and they have earned the gratitude and respect of the 15
community they have so capably served. We are certain that as they 16
maintain their dedication to service, these individuals will continue 17
in the tradition of excellence which has long been the agency’s 18
hallmark; and 19
WHEREAS, Countless citizens in the community owe their safety, and 20
some their very lives, to the volunteers of the Reily Township Fire 21
Department, who have displayed outstanding courage and initiative in 22
the performance of their duties. Their enthusiasm and devotion are 23
truly astounding; therefore be it 24
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of 25

the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, 26
commend the members of the Reily Township Fire Department for their 27
loyal service to the community and salute them as fine Ohioans; and be 28
it further 29
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit 30
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Reily Township 31
Fire Department. 32
