                       A RESOLUTION
            Honoring Dana R. Skinner on being selected as the 2022
              Ohio State Highway Patrol Trooper of the Year.
     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly    1
of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to Dana R. Skinner     2
as the 2022 State Trooper of the Year for the Ohio State Highway         3
Patrol; and                                                              4
     WHEREAS, Dana Skinner has combined civic concern and commitment     5
with selfless initiative to become a dynamic leader in the field of      6
law enforcement. Joining the Ohio State Highway Patrol in 2001, she      7
served in such locations as the Piqua Post and the Training Academy      8
before being assigned to the Toledo Post. She has been honored by        9
fellow troopers for her outstanding service, leadership abilities,       10
professional ethics, and courteous treatment of others, as well as for   11
her enthusiastic work attitude and cooperation with supervisors,         12
peers, and the public; and                                               13
     WHEREAS, In being selected for this noteworthy distinction, Dana    14
Skinner has been acknowledged as a remarkable member of the Ohio State   15
Highway Patrol. She has expended countless hours and seemingly           16
inexhaustible energy in the interest of others, and it is through the    17
unsurpassed efforts and consistent support of conscientious              18
individuals such as she that our state has remained responsive to the    19
diverse needs of its residents; and                                      20
     WHEREAS, Demonstrating a sincere concern for the future of the      21
Toledo area, Dana Skinner has given back to the community far more       22
than she has gleaned, and her selfless endeavors stand as the hallmark   23
of responsible citizenship. She has set an example of humanitarian       24
service worthy of emulation, and we commend her for her dedication to    25
our state; therefore be it                                               26

As Adopted by the Senate
     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General     27
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud Dana R. Skinner     28
on her exemplary accolade and salute her as one of Ohio’s finest law       29
enforcement officers; and be it further                                    30
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly                31
authenticated copy of this Resolution to Dana R. Skinner.                  32
