A RESOLUTION
Honoring Stacie Anderson on winning the 2023 American Farm
Bureau Excellence in Agriculture Award.
WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly 1
of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to Stacie Anderson 2
on receiving the 2023 Excellence in Agriculture Award from the 3
American Farm Bureau; and 4
WHEREAS, The Excellence in Agriculture Award is presented to young 5
members of the American Farm Bureau who are agricultural enthusiasts 6
but who do not earn the majority of their income from owning an 7
agricultural operation and who demonstrate an interest in improving 8
the business of agriculture. This prestigious accolade is a fitting 9
tribute to Stacie Anderson for her work as the agronomy sales manager 10
for Legacy Farmers Cooperative and for her promotion of farm safety, 11
renewable energy, and mental health in the agricultural community in 12
addition to her assistance in operating the family farm and Anderson’s 13
Farm Products; and 14
WHEREAS, Stacie Anderson is, indeed, a remarkable individual, for 15
she has contributed a wealth of time and talent to agriculture in 16
Northwest Ohio. Displaying initiative and enthusiasm in all of her 17
endeavors, she has set an example of excellence that is worthy of 18
emulation, and her leadership and accomplishments serve as an 19
inspiration for others; and 20
WHEREAS, At a time of increasing urbanization, when many are 21
forced to rely on the services of a few to survive, farmers have 22
shouldered the responsibility of feeding the world’s population with 23
competence and efficiency. As farmers’ efforts are all too often 24
overlooked, it is appropriate that we commend people such as Stacie 25
Anderson who have had a positive impact on Ohio’s agricultural 26

community; therefore be it 27
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General 28
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate Stacie 29
Anderson on her national honor and look with optimism to her bright 30
future; and be it further 31
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly 32
authenticated copy of this Resolution to Stacie Anderson. 33
