                       A RESOLUTION
            Honoring the St. Edward High School football team on         1
              winning the 2022 Division I State Championship.            2
     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly    3
of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to the St. Edward      4
High School football team as the 2022 Division I State Champion; and     5
     WHEREAS, The St. Edward High School football team is to be          6
commended, for throughout their triumphant season, the Eagles have       7
grown as athletes by exhibiting astounding speed, stamina, and skill.    8
Their victories over a host of talented opponents underscore the         9
prowess and indomitable spirit of every member of the team; and          10
     WHEREAS, Time and again, the Eagles have risen to the occasion,     11
and they have maintained their morale, composure, and good               12
sportsmanship in the face of a challenging field of competitors. Their   13
record of attainment is worthy of emulation, and they have gained the    14
respect of even their most determined rivals; and                        15
     WHEREAS, Under the expert guidance of Coach Tom Lombardo, the       16
gifted athletes on the St. Edward High School football team have         17
diligently applied themselves to the quest for excellence, devoting      18
countless hours to rigorous training in order to ensure peak             19
conditioning. Participation in football has taught them a great deal     20
about commitment, self-discipline, and leadership, and they have made    21
their families, their friends, and their community very proud;           22
therefore be it                                                          23
     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General   24
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud the St. Edward    25
High School football team on its outstanding success and wish its        26

members success in all of their future endeavors; and be it further        27
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly                28
authenticated copy of this Resolution to the St. Edward High School        29
football team.                                                             30
