                       A RESOLUTION
           Honoring the Hilliard Davidson High School girls cross
              country team as the 2022 Division I State runner-up.
     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 134th General Assembly    1
of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to the Hilliard Davidson High         2
School girls cross country team on placing second at the 2022 Division   3
I State Meet; and                                                        4
     WHEREAS, The members of the Hilliard Davidson High School girls     5
cross country team are excellent young athletes, and they have proven    6
themselves to be an outstanding squad. This season, the Wildcats         7
overcame a host of talented opponents to advance to the Division I       8
State Meet, where they earned second place, and for their unwavering     9
commitment, the students and coach are certainly deserving of high       10
praise; and                                                              11
     WHEREAS, Coach Nathan King has demonstrated remarkable energy,      12
enthusiasm, and dedication in guiding the Hilliard Davidson High         13
School girls cross country team, and his skill is reflected in the       14
squad’s superb accomplishment. Due largely to his tireless efforts,      15
the members have established themselves as outstanding runners, and he   16
has earned the respect and admiration of all who know him; and           17
     WHEREAS, In an educational system that seeks to teach the future    18
leaders of our state and nation the fundamentals of self-reliance and    19
the rewards of individual and group effort, athletic competition has     20
become a valuable tool. Through their participation in sports, the       21
members of the Hilliard Davidson High School girls cross country team    22
have learned lessons of discipline, perseverance, hard work, and good    23
sportsmanship that will undoubtedly be of great benefit to them          24
throughout their lives; therefore be it                                  25

As Introduced
     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 134th General     26
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, recognize the Hilliard      27
Davidson High School girls cross country team for exemplary                28
achievement and extend best wishes for the future; and be it further       29
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly                30
authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Hilliard Davidson High        31
School girls cross country team.                                           32
