                       A RESOLUTION
            Honoring the Wayne Trace High School girls 1,600-meter
              relay team on winning the 2022 Division III State
              Championship.
     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 134th General Assembly     1
of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Wayne Trace High School girls     2
1,600-meter relay team as the 2022 Division III State Champion; and       3
     WHEREAS, A remarkable group of athletes, the members of the Wayne    4
Trace High School girls 1,600-meter relay team have combined talent       5
and competitive spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship      6
to establish themselves as a truly exceptional squad. With admirable      7
dedication, runners Sydnee Sinn, Kiara Bahena, Gracie Shepherd, and       8
Rachel Stoller have worked diligently toward attaining ultimate           9
proficiency in track and field, and as a result, they won this year’s     10
Division III State Championship title with a time of 3:55.95; and         11
     WHEREAS, The Raiders’ achievements and leadership are an excellent   12
reflection not only on the tremendous skill of the students but also      13
on the ability of their coach, Troy Branch. In guiding his team to        14
victory, Coach Branch has helped each athlete to develop her talents      15
to the fullest, and he has instilled in each a valuable sense of          16
determination, perseverance, and camaraderie; and                         17
     WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role    18
in the total education of our young people, we are extremely pleased      19
to pay tribute to the exemplary athletes and outstanding coach of the     20
Wayne Trace High School girls 1,600-meter relay team for a job well       21
done. The maturity and experience the members have gained through         22
their participation in sports will greatly aid them in meeting the        23
challenges of the future; therefore be it                                 24

As Introduced
     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 134th General     25
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud the Wayne Trace     26
High School girls 1,600-meter relay team on its tremendous 2021-2022       27
season and wish its members the best in the years to come; and be it       28
further                                                                    29
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly                30
authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Wayne Trace High School       31
girls 1,600-meter relay team.                                              32
