A RESOLUTION
Honoring the Triway High School softball team on securing
the 2022 Division II State Championship.
WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 134th General Assembly 1
of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to the Triway High School softball 2
team on earning the 2022 Division II State Championship crown; and 3
WHEREAS, The members of the Triway High School softball team are a 4
remarkable group of young athletes who have combined talent and 5
competitive spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship to 6
establish themselves as a truly exceptional squad. With admirable 7
dedication, the Titans have worked diligently toward attaining 8
ultimate proficiency on the diamond, and at this year’s Division II 9
State tournament, they won the championship title with a 2-1 victory 10
over the team from Jonathan Alder High School; and 11
WHEREAS, The Titans’ achievements and leadership are a justifiable 12
source of pride and an excellent reflection on the players, their 13
families, their school, their community, and their coaches. The 14
success of any athletic endeavor depends largely on the ability of the 15
coaches to provide both guidance and inspiration, and in leading his 16
team to victory, Coach Ronald Rock has not only helped each athlete to 17
develop her talents to the fullest but also instilled in each a 18
valuable sense of determination, perseverance, and camaraderie; and 19
WHEREAS, The road to victory and a championship title is a 20
difficult one, requiring speed, strength, cooperation, and a positive 21
attitude on the part of the players and coach alike. The members of 22
the Triway High School softball team have exemplified all of the 23
characteristics that are essential for success both in and out of 24
athletic competition, including courage, discipline, and integrity, 25
and their efforts have earned them the admiration of all those who 26

have witnessed these outstanding athletes in action; therefore be it 27
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 134th General 28
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate the Triway 29
High School softball team on its state title and applaud all those who 30
contributed to the success of this fine squad; and be it further 31
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly 32
authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Triway High School 33
softball team. 34
