                       A RESOLUTION
                           Honoring Ethan Lu
            as a 2022 U.S. Physics Olympiad Gold Medalist.
     WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 134th 1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Ethan Lu on       2
winning two gold medals at the 2022 U.S. Physics Olympiad; and         3
     WHEREAS, A student at Centerville High School, Ethan Lu has         4
striven to develop his capabilities, and consequently, he was a top      5
scorer on the F=ma and USAPhO exams in this year’s U.S. Physics          6
Olympiad, sponsored by the American Association of Physics Teachers      7
and the American Institute of Physics. An intelligent and motivated      8
individual, he has amply demonstrated his ability to meet challenges     9
with enthusiasm and confidence and has displayed an exceptional          10
willingness to work hard to produce superior results. Through his        11
remarkable efforts, he has set an example worthy of emulation, and he    12
is certainly deserving of high praise; and                               13
     WHEREAS, With self-discipline, perseverance, and resolve, Ethan     14
Lu has striven to increase his knowledge and skills. Through his         15
decisive leadership, he has distinguished himself as a conscientious     16
and responsible young man, and we are certain that he will continue to   17
display the same unwavering dedication to excellence for which he has    18
become known; and                                                        19
     WHEREAS, Ethan Lu’s accomplishments are a justifiable source of     20
pride and an excellent reflection not only on him but also on his        21
family, his teachers, his school, and his community. He has exhibited    22
a sincere desire to do his best in all of his endeavors so that he       23
might fulfill his goals in the future, and this, coupled with his        24
maturity and initiative, shows his potential to become one of            25
tomorrow’s leaders; therefore be it                                      26

As Offered
     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of    27
the 134th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution,          28
commend Ethan Lu for outstanding achievement and salute him as one of     29
Ohio’s finest young citizens; and be it further                           30
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit 31
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Ethan Lu.              32
