                       A RESOLUTION
            Honoring Hanover Presbyterian Church on its One Hundred
              Fiftieth Anniversary.
     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 134th General Assembly     1
of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to Hanover              2
Presbyterian Church on the memorable occasion of its One Hundred          3
Fiftieth Anniversary; and                                                 4
     WHEREAS, Standing for one hundred fifty years, Hanover               5
Presbyterian Church is like the house the wise man built on the rock,     6
weathering every storm over the years and continuing to thrive. Under     7
the exemplary guidance of its leadership, both past and present, this     8
dynamic church has inspired the Christian heart and has served as a       9
tremendous source of spiritual motivation to many since its dedication    10
on November 17, 1872; and                                                 11
     WHEREAS, This auspicious celebration offers the members of Hanover   12
Presbyterian Church the opportunity to share their memories and to        13
reflect on the benefits of life in their close-knit community. The        14
parishioners can be proud of their steadfastness and exceptional          15
values, for they have set a remarkable example throughout the             16
community. Indeed, all those associated with this center of worship       17
have expanded on the best traditions of the past to ensure a              18
benevolent and prosperous future; and                                     19
     WHEREAS, Hanover Presbyterian Church has made a positive impact on   20
both the community and the world. This important milestone represents     21
the devotion and commitment that the members of the church have kept      22
alive in the area through their faith. On its One Hundred Fiftieth        23
Anniversary, we salute this beacon of society; therefore be it            24
    RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 134th General     25

Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud Hanover             26
Presbyterian Church on its Sesquicentennial and offer best wishes as       27
it upholds its rich legacy of faith and fellowship in the years to         28
come; and be it further                                                    29
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly                30
authenticated copy of this Resolution to Hanover Presbyterian Church.      31
