                       A RESOLUTION
            Honoring Katie Clute as a 2022 Division I State Track and
              Field Champion.
     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 134th General Assembly     1
of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to Katie Clute on       2
winning the 2022 Division I State Championship in the 3,200-meter run;    3
and                                                                       4
     WHEREAS, A junior at Olmsted Falls High School, Katie Clute has      5
combined talent and competitive spirit with the highest ideals of good    6
sportsmanship to establish herself as a truly exceptional athlete.        7
With admirable dedication, she has worked diligently toward attaining     8
ultimate proficiency in track and field, and as a result, she won         9
first place in the 3,200-meter run with a time of 10:28.97 at this        10
year’s Division I State Meet; and                                         11
     WHEREAS, Katie Clute’s accomplishments and leadership, both in and   12
out of competition, are a justifiable source of pride and an              13
outstanding reflection not only on her but also on her family, her        14
teammates, her coaches, her school, and her community. Her unwavering     15
commitment to excellence has earned her the respect and esteem of         16
many, and she is certainly worthy of applause; and                        17
     WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role    18
in the total education of our young people, we are extremely pleased      19
to pay tribute to Katie Clute on an exemplary season. Indeed, the same    20
maturity and experience she has gained through her participation in       21
track and field will greatly aid her in meeting the challenges of the     22
future; therefore be it                                                   23
     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 134th General    24
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate Katie         25

Clute on her Division I State Championship and offer best wishes for       26
ongoing success; and be it further                                         27
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly                28
authenticated copy of this Resolution to Katie Clute.                      29
