A RESOLUTION
Honoring Connor Boland on winning a 2022 Division I State
Track and Field Championship.
WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 134th General Assembly 1
of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to Connor Boland on earning the 2
2022 Division I State Track and Field Championship title in the 400- 3
meter dash; and 4
WHEREAS, A junior member of the Geneva High School track and field 5
team, Connor Boland is deserving of recognition for his exemplary 6
accomplishments in running. An exceptional athlete, he secured this 7
year’s Division I State Championship crown in the 400-meter dash with 8
a time of 47.67, and his noteworthy record of personal achievement 9
stands as a hallmark for others to emulate; and 10
WHEREAS, Through his participation in track and field, Connor 11
Boland has learned important lessons of discipline, perseverance, hard 12
work, and good sportsmanship that will undoubtedly be of great benefit 13
to him. Indeed, he has inspired countless individuals to excel in 14
various areas of endeavor, and his outstanding efforts have made his 15
family, teammates, and coaches very proud; and 16
WHEREAS, In a society that seeks to teach the future leaders of 17
our state and nation the fundamentals of self-reliance and the rewards 18
of individual and group effort, athletic competition has become a 19
valuable educational tool. Throughout intense training and 20
preparation, Connor Boland has consistently demonstrated the talent, 21
integrity, and motivation that are the hallmarks of a true champion; 22
therefore be it 23
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 134th General 24
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, honor Connor Boland as 25

As Introduced
the 2022 Division I State Track and Field Champion in the 400-meter 26
dash and extend best wishes for the future; and be it further 27
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly 28
authenticated copy of this Resolution to Connor Boland. 29
