                       A RESOLUTION
            Honoring Jaydon Jenkins as a two-time 2021 Seated Division
              State Track and Field Champion.
     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 134th General Assembly    1
of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Jaydon Jenkins on winning the 2021   2
Seated Division State Championship in the 400- and 800-meter races;      3
and                                                                      4
     WHEREAS, A junior at Elmwood High School, Jaydon Jenkins has        5
combined talent and competitive spirit with the highest ideals of good   6
sportsmanship to establish himself as a truly exceptional young          7
athlete. With admirable dedication, he has worked diligently toward      8
attaining ultimate proficiency in track and field, and as a result, he   9
secured first place in the 400- and 800-meter races with times of        10
58.31 seconds and 2:03.40 minutes respectively, second place in the      11
shot put with a throw of 19 feet, 3.5 inches, and third place in the     12
100-meter dash with a time of 18.19 seconds at this year’s Seated        13
Division State Championship; and                                         14
     WHEREAS, Jaydon Jenkins’ accomplishments and leadership, both in    15
and out of competition, are a justifiable source of pride and a fine     16
reflection not only on him but also on his family, his teammates, his    17
coaches, his school, and his community. His unwavering commitment to     18
excellence has earned him the respect and esteem of many, and he is      19
certainly worthy of high praise; and                                     20
     WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role   21
in the total education of our young people, we are extremely pleased     22
to pay tribute to Jaydon Jenkins on an exemplary season. Indeed, the     23
same maturity and experience he has gained through his participation     24
in sports will greatly aid him in meeting the challenges of the          25
future; therefore be it                                                  26

As Introduced
     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 134th General     27
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Jaydon Jenkins      28
on his Seated Division State Track and Field Championship titles and       29
extend best wishes for continued success; and be it further                30
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly                31
authenticated copy of this Resolution to Jaydon Jenkins.                   32
