A RESOLUTION
Honoring the Valley Extreme 18U softball team as the 2021
USSSA Space Coast World Series Champion.
WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 134th General Assembly 1
of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Valley Extreme 18U softball 2
team on winning the 2021 United States Specialty Sports Association 3
Space Coast World Series Championship title; and 4
WHEREAS, A remarkable group of young athletes, the members of the 5
Valley Extreme 18U softball team have combined talent and competitive 6
spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship to establish 7
themselves as a truly exceptional squad. With admirable dedication, 8
the players have worked diligently toward attaining ultimate 9
proficiency in their sport, and as a result, they secured this year’s 10
United States Specialty Sports Association Space Coast World Series 11
Championship crown; and 12
WHEREAS, The achievements and leadership of the Valley Extreme 18U 13
softball team are a justifiable source of pride and an excellent 14
reflection on them, their families, their community, and their coach, 15
Joe Angelo. The success of any athletic endeavor depends largely on 16
the ability of the coaches to provide both guidance and inspiration. 17
In leading their team to victory, Coach Angelo and his assistants have 18
not only helped their players to develop their talents to the fullest, 19
but they have also instilled in them a valuable sense of 20
determination, perseverance, and camaraderie; and 21
WHEREAS, By weathering a rigorous schedule and prevailing over a 22
host of adversaries, Valley Extreme 18U softball team members Lauren 23
Fife, Sammy Aey, Jensen Sminchak, Brooke Brodie, Alex Dusman, Desi 24
Allen, Hannah Baker, Madison Angelo, Emma Gumont, Brooke Whitt, and 25
Aryana Hartman have learned much about dedication, self-discipline, 26

leadership, and perseverance. Their first-place finish is a measure of 27
their stalwart commitment to the sport, and it signifies the 28
acquisition of valuable experience that is sure to benefit them in 29
later life; therefore be it 30
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 134th General 31
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud the Valley 32
Extreme 18U softball team for its brilliant achievement and wish its 33
members continued success in all of their future endeavors; and be it 34
further 35
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly 36
authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Valley Extreme 18U 37
softball team. 38
