A RESOLUTION
Honoring Dev Ahuja as a 2021 Ohio Speech and Debate
Association Champion.
WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 134th General Assembly 1
of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Dev Ahuja on placing first in the 2
United States extemporaneous speech category at the 2021 Ohio Speech 3
and Debate Association State Finals; and 4
WHEREAS, A sophomore member of the Solon High School speech and 5
debate team, Dev Ahuja has combined civic concern and dedication with 6
the utmost professionalism to establish himself as a dynamic young 7
mind. Through his outstanding efforts at this year’s Ohio Speech and 8
Debate Association State Finals, he has truly proven himself to be a 9
conscientious and hard-working Ohioan; and 10
WHEREAS, Willingly giving of his time, energy, and abilities far 11
beyond what was required or expected, Dev Ahuja has striven to better 12
the world around him, and he has earned the respect and esteem of the 13
entire community for his accomplishments. We are certain that in the 14
years to come, he will continue to demonstrate the same unwavering 15
commitment to excellence for which he has become known, and he is 16
truly deserving of high praise; and 17
WHEREAS, The knowledge and self-confidence Dev Ahuja has gained 18
through his participation in events such as the Ohio Speech and Debate 19
Association State Finals will no doubt be of great benefit to him 20
throughout his lifetime. We look forward to his future contributions 21
to our state and society; therefore be it 22
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 134th General 23
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud Dev Ahuja on 24
his recent attainment and salute him as an outstanding Ohio citizen; 25
