Existing law creates the Board of Wildlife Commissioners, consisting of nine members appointed by the Governor and confers board authority upon the Commission to manage wildlife and its habitat in Nevada. (NRS 501.167) Section 2 of this bill increases the membership of the Commission by adding one member who is licensed as a master guide and one member who is a member of a county advisory board to manage wildlife. Section 2 also increases the number of members who may be from the same county whose population is less than 100,000 (currently all counties other than Clark and Washoe Counties) from one member to two members. Sections 1 and 3 of this bill make conforming changes to reflect the increase in the membership of the Commission.
