Under existing law, a person who is required to have a license or permit to hunt, fish or trap is also required to have the license or permit in his or her possession while engaging in hunting, fishing or trapping. Such a person is guilty of a misdemeanor if, while engaged in hunting, fishing or trapping, the person fails to have the license or permit in his or her possession or refuses to exhibit the license or permit upon the demand of any officer authorized to enforce the fish and game laws of this State. (NRS 502.120) Section 1 of this bill eliminates the requirement for a person to have the license or permit to hunt, fish or trap in his or her possession while engaged in such activity or to exhibit the license or permit on demand.
