SYNOPSIS
        Appropriates $10 million in federal funds to Department of Agriculture to support food bank organizations.

A Supplement to the Fiscal Year 2021 appropriations act, P.L.2020, c.97.
 
        Be It Enacted by the Senate and the General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:
 
        1.       In addition to the amounts appropriated under P.L.2020, c.97, the annual appropriations act for Fiscal Year 2021, and upon certification by the Director of the Division of Budget and Accounting in the Department of the Treasury that federal funds to support the expenditures listed below are available, the following sum is appropriated:

The amount hereinabove appropriated for Coronavirus Relief Fund     Assistance to Food Bank Organizations shall be allocated from a portion of those federal block grant funds allocated to the State from the    Coronavirus Relief Fund,    established pursuant to the federal    Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act,    Pub.L.116-136.
 
The amount hereinabove appropriated for Coronavirus Relief Fund     Assistance to Food Bank Organizations shall be allocated as follows:   the Community Food Bank of New Jersey, $5,200,000; the Food Bank of South Jersey, $1,500,000; Fulfill Monmouth & Ocean, $1,500,000; Mercer Street Friends Food Bank, $1,100,000; Norwescap, $300,000; Southern Regional Food Distribution Center, $300,000; and Farmers Against Hunger, $100,000.
 
        2.       This act shall take effect immediately.
 
 
STATEMENT
 
        This bill appropriates $10 million to the Department of Agriculture from a portion of those federal block grant funds allocated to the State from the federal Coronavirus Relief Fund (CRF) established pursuant to the federal    Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act,    Pub.L.116-136.   The bill requires the funds to be distributed to seven food bank organizations.
