This bill establishes a commission to review and make recommendations regarding technology-based start-up business support from the state of New Hampshire. The commission will consist of members from the house of representatives, the senate, the technology start-up business community, the venture capital and angel investment community, the department of business and economic affairs, and the New Hampshire Tech Alliance. The commission will review and make recommendations on various aspects of the technology start-up ecosystem, including assessing the current ecosystem, studying best practices from other states, leveraging private and federal matching funds, identifying opportunities for job creation and attracting new companies, and determining how New Hampshire can support the technology start-up ecosystem through financial resources, incentives, and educational and job training support. The commission will report its findings and recommendations to relevant committees and agencies by November 1, 2024.

This bill also repeals the current commission that reviews and makes recommendations regarding technology-based start-up business support from the state of New Hampshire. The repeal will take effect on November 1, 2024. The rest of the bill will take effect upon its passage.
