This bill modifies the power and duties of the Joint Committee on Legislative Facilities in relation to reviewing and adopting sexual harassment policies for the general court. The bill removes the requirement for the committee to review sexual harassment policies of other jurisdictions and legislatures and adopt a sexual harassment policy consistent with best practices. It also removes the requirement for the committee to propose that all legislators, legislative officers, and legislative staff attend in-person education and training regarding sexual and other unlawful discrimination and harassment. Instead, the committee may review sexual harassment policies of other jurisdictions and legislatures and adopt a sexual harassment policy consistent with best practices. The bill also requires the sexual harassment policy to be posted online.

The effective date of this bill is 60 days after its passage.
