This bill relates to the election of county commissioners in Strafford County. It amends RSA 653:1, VI(c) to change the number of county commissioners from 3 to 1, and specifies that the county commissioner will be elected by the voters in each county commissioner district. It also amends RSA 662:4 to remove the provision that 3 county commissioners shall be elected at large in Strafford County, and instead divides the county into three districts for the purposes of choosing county commissioners. The bill specifies the towns and wards included in each district. This bill will take effect 60 days after its passage.
