1 A BILL FOR AN ACT relating to appropriations; to appropriate funds to aid
2 in carrying out the provisions of Legislative Bill 787, One Hundred
3 Eighth Legislature, First Session, 2023.
4 Be it enacted by the people of the State of Nebraska,

1 Section 1. There is hereby appropriated (1) $5,000,000 from the
2 General Fund for FY2023-24 and (2) $5,000,000 from the General Fund for
3 FY2024-25 to the State Department of Education, for Program 158, to aid
4 in carrying out the provisions of Legislative Bill 787, One Hundred
5 Eighth Legislature, First Session, 2023.
6 There is included in the appropriation to this program for FY2023-24
7 $5,000,000 General Funds for state aid, which shall only be used for such
8 purpose. There is included in the appropriation to this program for
9 FY2024-25 $5,000,000 General Funds for state aid, which shall only be
10 used for such purpose.
11 No expenditures for permanent and temporary salaries and per diems
12 for state employees shall be made from funds appropriated in this
13 section.
