1 A BILL FOR AN ACT relating to appropriations; to appropriate funds to aid
2 in carrying out the provisions of Legislative Bill 442, One Hundred
3 Eighth Legislature, First Session, 2023; and to declare an
4 emergency.
5 Be it enacted by the people of the State of Nebraska,

1 Section 1. There is hereby appropriated (1) $2,000,000 from the
2 Livestock Growth Act Cash Fund for FY2023-24 and (2) $-0- from the
3 General Fund for FY2024-25 to the Department of Agriculture, for Program
4 78, to aid in carrying out the provisions of Legislative Bill 442, One
5 Hundred Eighth Legislature, First Session, 2023.
6 There is included in the appropriation to this program for FY2023-24
7 $1,975,000 cash funds for state aid, which shall only be used for such
8 purpose. There is included in the appropriation to this program for
9 FY2024-25 $-0- for state aid, which shall only be used for such purpose.
10 No expenditures for permanent and temporary salaries and per diems
11 for state employees shall be made from funds appropriated in this
12 section.
13 Sec. 2. Since an emergency exists, this act takes effect when
14 passed and approved according to law.
