1 A BILL FOR AN ACT relating to appropriations; to appropriate funds from
2 the General Fund to the Department of Economic Development for a
3 South Omaha business park; and to declare an emergency.
4 Be it enacted by the people of the State of Nebraska,

1 Section 1. There is hereby appropriated $500,000 from the General
2 Fund for FY2023-24 to the Department of Economic Development, Program
3 603, for the purposes of carrying out an economic development study. The
4 economic development study shall pertain to development of a South Omaha
5 business park and include information relating to infrastructure;
6 transportation; site preparation; workforce and talent attraction and
7 retention; economic impact; and business development opportunities. Such
8 study shall limit its consideration to locations within the 68105 and
9 68107 zip codes.
10 Sec. 2. Since an emergency exists, this act takes effect when
11 passed and approved according to law.
