1 A BILL FOR AN ACT relating to appropriations; to appropriate Federal
2 Funds to the Department of Health and Human Services for the Jobs
3 for America's Graduates program; and to declare an emergency.
4 Be it enacted by the people of the State of Nebraska,

1 Section 1. There is hereby appropriated (1) $4,579,266 from Federal
2 Funds for FY2023-24 and (2) $6,232,466 from Federal Funds for FY2024-25
3 to the Department of Health and Human Services for the purpose of
4 managing and distributing grants to school districts and organizations
5 participating in the Jobs for America's Graduates program. The Federal
6 Funds appropriated in this section are from the Department of Health and
7 Human Services existing surplus reserve of TANF funds allocated pursuant
8 to the Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act of
9 1996 (PRWORA) (Pub. L. 104-193).
10 Sec. 2. Since an emergency exists, this act takes effect when
11 passed and approved according to law.
