1 A BILL FOR AN ACT relating to appropriations; to appropriate funds to the
2 Department of Environment and Energy to aid in carrying out the
3 provisions of the Water Well Standards and Contractors' Practice
4 Act; and to declare an emergency.
5 Be it enacted by the people of the State of Nebraska,

1 Section 1. There is hereby appropriated (1) $750,000 from the
2 General Fund for FY2023-24 and (2) $750,000 from the General Fund for
3 FY2024-25 to the Department of Environment and Energy, for Program 513,
4 to aid in carrying out the provisions of the Water Well Standards and
5 Contractors' Practice Act.
6 Total expenditures for permanent and temporary salaries and per
7 diems from funds appropriated in this section shall not exceed $750,000
8 for FY2023-24 or $750,000 for FY2024-25.
9 Sec. 2. Since an emergency exists, this act takes effect when
10 passed and approved according to law.
