1 A BILL FOR AN ACT relating to pregnancy; to state intent; and to provide
2 criminal and civil immunity for pregnancy outcomes as prescribed.
3 Be it enacted by the people of the State of Nebraska,

1 Section 1. The intent of the Legislature is to support pregnant
2 people and not criminalize pregnancy or punish people for their pregnancy
3 outcomes or for their decisions relating to their pregnancy.
4 Sec. 2. A person shall not be cited, arrested, or prosecuted for
5 any offense relating to the outcome of such person's own pregnancy,
6 including experiencing a stillbirth or miscarriage, the intentional
7 termination of a pregnancy, or any other pregnancy outcome that does not
8 result in a live birth.
9 Sec. 3. A person shall be immune from any civil action if such
10 action is based upon the pregnancy outcome of such person's own
11 pregnancy, including experiencing a stillbirth or miscarriage, the
12 intentional termination of a pregnancy, or any other pregnancy outcome
13 that does not result in a live birth.
