1 A BILL FOR AN ACT relating to appropriations; to state intent regarding
2 appropriations to the Department of Economic Development; and to
3 declare an emergency.
4 Be it enacted by the people of the State of Nebraska,

1 Section 1. It is the intent of the Legislature to appropriate an
2 additional $10,500,000 from the General Fund for FY2023-24 and an
3 additional $10,500,000 from the General Fund for FY2024-25 to the
4 Department of Economic Development, Agency 72, for Program No. 601,
5 Community and Rural Development, as aid for this program, to contract
6 with the Nebraska Investment Finance Authority, as described in the
7 Nebraska Investment Finance Authority Act, for development of affordable
8 housing units eligible for federal four and nine percent low-income
9 housing tax credit programs.
10 Sec. 2. Since an emergency exists, this act takes effect when
11 passed and approved according to law.
