1 A BILL FOR AN ACT relating to state contracts; to amend section 73-104,
2 Reissue Revised Statutes of Nebraska; to require public works
3 contractors to pay the state minimum wage; and to repeal the
4 original section.
5 Be it enacted by the people of the State of Nebraska,

1 Section 1. Section 73-104, Reissue Revised Statutes of Nebraska, is
2 amended to read:
3 73-104 Fair labor standards, as used in sections 73-102 and 73-103
4 shall be construed to mean such a scale of wages and conditions of
5 employment as are paid and maintained by at least fifty percent of the
6 contractors in the same business or field of endeavor as the contractor
7 filing such statement, but in no case shall any contractor pay its
8 employees an amount which is less than the state minimum wage.
9 Sec. 2. Original section 73-104, Reissue Revised Statutes of
10 Nebraska, is repealed.
