LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION 178

PURPOSE: The purpose of this interim study is to solicit input from Nebraskans into how funds from the federal American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, Public Law
117-2, would best be utilized and which funds the State of Nebraska should apply for. Nebraska will receive significant dollars from the federal government to help Nebraska recover from the impact of COVID-19 on the economy,
public health, education, state and local governments, individuals, and businesses. Public input will include, but not be limited to, experts in the public and private sectors, the Governor, state agencies, governmental subdivisions, and the general public.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MEMBERS OF THE ONE HUNDRED SEVENTH
LEGISLATURE OF NEBRASKA, FIRST SESSION:
1. That the Appropriations Committee of the Legislature shall be
designated to conduct an interim study to carry out the purposes of this resolution.
2. That the committee shall upon the conclusion of its study make a report of its findings, together with its recommendations, to the Legislative Council or Legislature.
