1 A BILL FOR AN ACT relating to appropriations; to appropriate funds to aid
2 in carrying out the provisions of Legislative Bill 496, One Hundred
3 Seventh Legislature, Second Session, 2022; to provide for transfers
4 of funds; and to provide an operative date.
5 Be it enacted by the people of the State of Nebraska,

1 Section 1. There is hereby appropriated (1) $423,846 from the
2 General Fund for FY2022-23 and (2) $829,692 from the General Fund for
3 FY2023-24 to the Nebraska State Patrol, for Program 100, to aid in
4 carrying out the provisions of Legislative Bill 496, One Hundred Seventh
5 Legislature, Second Session, 2022.
6 Total expenditures for permanent and temporary salaries and per
7 diems from funds appropriated in this section shall not exceed $16,203
8 for FY2022-23 or $32,407 for FY2023-24.
9 Sec. 2. The State Treasurer shall transfer $423,846 from the State
10 Settlement Cash Fund to the General Fund on or after January 1, 2023, on
11 such dates and in such amounts as directed by the budget administrator of
12 the budget division of the Department of Administrative Services.
13 Sec. 3. It is the intent of the Legislature that the State
14 Treasurer transfer $829,692 from the State Settlement Cash Fund to the
15 General Fund on or before July 15, 2023, on such dates and in such
16 amounts as directed by the budget administrator of the budget division of
17 the Department of Administrative Services.
18 Sec. 4. This act becomes operative on January 1, 2023.
