A BILL FOR AN ACT relating to appropriations; to appropriate funds to aid in
carrying out the provisions of Legislative Bill 561, One Hundred Seventh Legislature, First Session, 2021; and to declare an emergency.
Be it enacted by the people of the State of Nebraska,
Section 1. There is hereby appropriated (1) $3,554,174 from the Racetrack Gaming Fund for FY2021-22 and (2) $4,441,627 from the Racetrack Gaming Fund for FY2022-23 to the State Racing and Gaming Commission, for Program 81, to aid in
carrying out the provisions of Legislative Bill 561, One Hundred Seventh Legislature, First Session, 2021.
Total expenditures for permanent and temporary salaries and per diems from funds appropriated in this section shall not exceed $1,946,080 for FY2021-22 or
$3,160,800 for FY2022-23.
Sec. 2. There is hereby appropriated (1) $184,875 from the Compulsive Gamblers Assistance Fund for FY2021-22 and (2) $1,226,455 from the Compulsive Gamblers Assistance Fund for FY2022-23 to the Department of Revenue, for Program 164, to aid in carrying out the provisions of Legislative Bill 561, One Hundred Seventh Legislature, First Session, 2021.
No expenditures for permanent and temporary salaries and per diems for state employees shall be made from funds appropriated in this section.
Sec. 3. Since an emergency exists, this act takes effect when passed and approved according to law.
