1 A BILL FOR AN ACT relating to the Motor Vehicle Registration Act; to
2 amend section 60-3,162, Revised Statutes Cumulative Supplement,
3 2020; to change provisions relating to improper issuance of a
4 certificate of registration; and to repeal the original section.
5 Be it enacted by the people of the State of Nebraska,

1 Section 1. Section 60-3,162, Revised Statutes Cumulative Supplement,
2 2020, is amended to read:
3 60-3,162 The department shall, upon a sworn complaint in writing of
4 any person, investigate whether a certificate of registration has been
5 issued on a motor vehicle or trailer exceeding the length, height, or
6 width provided by law or issued contrary to any law of this state. If the
7 department determines from the investigation that such certificate of
8 registration has been improperly issued, it shall have power to revoke
9 such certificate of registration as provided by law.
10 Sec. 2. Original section 60-3,162, Revised Statutes Cumulative
11 Supplement, 2020, is repealed.
