1 A BILL FOR AN ACT relating to treatment and corrections; to require an
2 annual report on active cases by the Department of Correctional
3 Services, Office of Probation Administration, and Division of Parole
4 Supervision.
5 Be it enacted by the people of the State of Nebraska,

1 Section 1. (1) On or before November 1 of each year, the Department
2 of Correctional Services, Office of Probation Administration, and
3 Division of Parole Supervision shall provide a report to the Judiciary
4 Committee of the Legislature and the Clerk of the Legislature. The report
5 shall include the following information on each active case under the
6 supervision of the department, office, or division:
7 (a) The age, race, ethnicity, and gender of the individual;
8 (b) The county of prior residence, if known;
9 (c) Citizenship status;
10 (d) Offense of conviction, including the relevant statute; degree,
11 if applicable; and felony or misdemeanor classification level; and
12 (e) The type and length of sentence imposed.
13 (2) Individual identifying information, including, but not limited
14 to, names, dates of birth, and addresses shall be omitted from the
15 report. The report shall be submitted electronically and made in a
16 machine-readable format.
