1 A BILL FOR AN ACT relating to appropriations; to state intent regarding
2 appropriations for law enforcement training.
3 Be it enacted by the people of the State of Nebraska,

1 Section 1. It is the intent of the Legislature to appropriate eight
2 hundred thousand dollars from the General Fund to the Nebraska Commission
3 on Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice for fiscal year 2021-22 for the
4 purchase of two law enforcement training systems and software to simulate
5 real life encounters of law enforcement officers. It is the intent of the
6 Legislature that the systems and software be designed for law enforcement
7 officers to train on the use of nondeadly force and that the Nebraska
8 Police Standards Advisory Council direct the location of such systems so
9 that they are not located where similar systems are in place for law
10 enforcement officers.
