1 A BILL FOR AN ACT relating to the Hall of Fame Trust Fund; to amend
2 section 72-729.01, Reissue Revised Statutes of Nebraska; to provide
3 for transfers of funds from the General Fund; to state intent
4 regarding transfers of funds; and to repeal the original section.
5 Be it enacted by the people of the State of Nebraska,

1 Section 1. The State Treasurer shall transfer $10,000 from the
2 General Fund to the Hall of Fame Trust Fund for FY2021-22 on such date as
3 directed by the budget administrator of the budget division of the
4 Department of Administrative Services.
5 Sec. 2. The State Treasurer shall transfer $10,000 from the General
6 Fund to the Hall of Fame Trust Fund for FY2022-23 on such date as
7 directed by the budget administrator of the budget division of the
8 Department of Administrative Services.
9 Sec. 3. Section 72-729.01, Reissue Revised Statutes of Nebraska, is
10 amended to read:
11 72-729.01 There is hereby created the Hall of Fame Trust Fund to be
12 administered by the Nebraska Hall of Fame Commission for the purpose of
13 the creation, design, size, configuration, and placement of busts or
14 other appropriate objects as authorized in section 72-729. Deposits to
15 such fund shall include money received from public donation and from
16 funds appropriated specifically for such purpose by the Legislature. It
17 is the intent of the Legislature that ten thousand dollars be transferred
18 from the General Fund to the Hall of Fame Trust Fund annually beginning
19 with fiscal year 2021-22. Any money in the fund available for investment
20 shall be invested by the state investment officer pursuant to the
21 Nebraska Capital Expansion Act and the Nebraska State Funds Investment
22 Act.
23 Sec. 4. Original section 72-729.01, Reissue Revised Statutes of
24 Nebraska, is repealed.
