1 A BILL FOR AN ACT relating to state government; to amend section 84-920,
2 Revised Statutes Cumulative Supplement, 2018; to require state
3 agency review of rules and regulations as prescribed; to harmonize
4 provisions; and to repeal the original section.
5 Be it enacted by the people of the State of Nebraska,

1 Section 1. Section 84-920, Revised Statutes Cumulative Supplement,
2 2018, is amended to read:
3 84-920 Sections 84-901 to 84-920, section 2 of this act, and the
4 Occupational Board Reform Act shall be known and may be cited as the
5 Administrative Procedure Act.
6 Sec. 2. (1) Each state agency shall review the rules and
7 regulations adopted and promulgated by the state agency on the schedule
8 prescribed in this subsection and provide a report electronically to the
9 Clerk of the Legislature on or before December 31 of the year prescribed
10 in the schedule.

20 (2) The report shall include the statutory authorization for the
21 rules and regulations and an assessment of whether the rules and
22 regulations are accomplishing the statutory purposes or need revision.
23 Sec. 3. Original section 84-920, Revised Statutes Cumulative
24 Supplement, 2018, is repealed.
