1 A BILL FOR AN ACT relating to contracts; to provide for the voidability
2 of certain releases from liability; and to provide a duty for the
3 Revisor of Statutes.
4 Be it enacted by the people of the State of Nebraska,

1 Section 1. An agreement to release another person or entity from
2 liability for personal injury or death, if entered into within thirty
3 days after the date the personal injury or death occurred, shall be
4 voidable by the releasor. The agreement shall be void upon written
5 notification by the releasor to the other party or parties to the
6 agreement. Such notification must occur within one hundred twenty days
7 after the initial execution of the agreement.
8 Sec. 2. The Revisor of Statutes shall assign section 1 of this act
9 to Chapter 25, article 21.
