1 A BILL FOR AN ACT relating to education; to amend section 79-719, Reissue
2 Revised Statutes of Nebraska; to include studies relative to the
3 Holocaust and other acts of genocide in multicultural education
4 provisions as prescribed; and to repeal the original section.
5 Be it enacted by the people of the State of Nebraska,

1 Section 1. Section 79-719, Reissue Revised Statutes of Nebraska, is
2 amended to read:
3 79-719 For purposes of sections 79-719 to 79-723, multicultural
4 education includes, but is not limited to, studies relative to (a) the
5 culture, history, and contributions of African Americans, Hispanic
6 Americans, Native Americans, and Asian Americans and (b) the Holocaust
7 and other acts of genocide, which may include, but not be limited to,
8 such acts in Armenia, Ukraine, Cambodia, Bosnia, Rwanda, and Sudan.
9 Special emphasis shall be placed on human relations and sensitivity
10 toward all races.
11 Sec. 2. Original section 79-719, Reissue Revised Statutes of
12 Nebraska, is repealed.
