1 A BILL FOR AN ACT relating to the Medical Assistance Act; to amend
2 section 68-901, Revised Statutes Supplement, 2017, as amended by
3 section 1, Initiative Law 2018, No. 427; to require certain coverage
4 for chiropractic services; and to repeal the original section.
5 Be it enacted by the people of the State of Nebraska,

1 Section 1. Section 68-901, Revised Statutes Supplement, 2017, as
2 amended by section 1, Initiative Law 2018, No. 427, is amended to read:
3 68-901 Sections 68-901 to 68-991, and section 2 of this act, and
4 section 2 of this act shall be known and may be cited as the Medical
5 Assistance Act.
6 Sec. 2. Eligibility for medical assistance under the Medical
7 Assistance Act shall include coverage (1) for all services within the
8 scope of practice provided by a chiropractor licensed in this state and
9 (2) for no less than twenty-four treatments per benefit year for
10 chiropractic services.
11 Sec. 3. Original section 68-901, Revised Statutes Supplement, 2017,
12 as amended by section 1, Initiative Law 2018, No. 427, is repealed.
