1 A BILL FOR AN ACT relating to the Motor Vehicle Registration Act; to
2 amend section 60-3,191, Revised Statutes Cumulative Supplement,
3 2018; to change the registration fee for alternative fuel-powered
4 motor vehicles; and to repeal the original section.
5 Be it enacted by the people of the State of Nebraska,

1 Section 1. Section 60-3,191, Revised Statutes Cumulative Supplement,
2 2018, is amended to read:
3 60-3,191 In addition to any other fee required under the Motor
4 Vehicle Registration Act, a fee for registration of each motor vehicle
5 powered by an alternative fuel shall be charged. The fee shall be
6 seventy-five dollars for each such motor vehicle registered in 2019,
7 eighty-five dollars for 2020, ninety-five dollars for 2021, one hundred
8 five dollars for 2022, one hundred fifteen dollars for 2023, and one
9 hundred twenty-five dollars for 2024 and every year thereafter. The fee
10 shall be collected by the county treasurer and remitted to the State
11 Treasurer for credit to the Highway Trust Fund.
12 Sec. 2. Original section 60-3,191, Revised Statutes Cumulative
13 Supplement, 2018, is repealed.
