1 A BILL for an Act to amend and reenact subsection 1 of section 34-06-22 of the North Dakota
2 Century Code, relating to the state minimum wage.
3 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF NORTH DAKOTA:
4 SECTION 1. AMENDMENT. Subsection 1 of section 34-06-22 of the North Dakota Century
5 Code is amended and reenacted as follows:
6 1. ExceptEffective August 1, 2023, except as otherwise provided under this chapter and
7 rules adopted by the commissioner, every employer shall pay to each of the
8 employer's employees:
9 a. Effective July 24, 2007, a wage of at least five dollars and eighty-five cents per
10 hour;
11 b. Effective July 24, 2008, a wage of at least six dollars and fifty-five cents per hour;
12 and
13 c. Effective July 24, 2009, a wage of at least sevennine dollars per hour, and
14 annually thereafter the minimum wage increases by twenty-five cents per hour.
