1 A BILL for an Act to amend and reenact subsection 2 of section 15-10-18.4 of the North Dakota
2 Century Code, relating to the definition of peace officers.
3 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF NORTH DAKOTA:
4 SECTION 1. AMENDMENT. Subsection 2 of section 15-10-18.4 of the North Dakota
5 Century Code is amended and reenacted as follows:
6 2. "Peace officer" means any:
7 a. Any person who is employed by a state law enforcement agency or a political
8 subdivision of the state who is charged with the prevention and detection of crime
9 and the enforcement of the criminal laws of the state, and who has full power of
10 arrest; or
11 b. A correctional officer employed by the state or a political subdivision of the state.
