1 A BILL for an Act to amend and reenact subsection 2 of section 54-16-00.1 of the North Dakota
2 Century Code, relating to the definition of a state officer.
3 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF NORTH DAKOTA:
4 SECTION 1. AMENDMENT. Subsection 2 of section 54-16-00.1 of the North Dakota
5 Century Code is amended and reenacted as follows:
6 2. "State officer" means an elected or appointed officer, board, commission, director, or
7 employee of the state having the authority to transfer or expend any money
8 appropriated by the legislative assembly. For purposes of section 54-16-03.1, the term
9 includes a member of the legislative assembly.
