1 A BILL for an Act to amend and reenact section 29-01-19 of the North Dakota Century Code,
2 relating to the compromise of misdemeanors.
3 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF NORTH DAKOTA:
4 SECTION 1. AMENDMENT. Section 29-01-19 of the North Dakota Century Code is
5 amended and reenacted as follows:
6 29-01-19. Compromise limited.
7 A public offense may not be compromised, nor may any proceeding for the prosecution or
8 punishment thereofof a public offense, upon a compromise, be stayed except as is provided in
9 sections 29-01-16 and 29-01-17 and with the consent of the state.
