1 A BILL for an Act to create and enact section 15-10-43.2 of the North Dakota Century Code,
2 relating to professional student exchange program repayment; to repeal section 15-10-43.1 of
3 the North Dakota Century Code, relating to professional student exchange program repayment;
4 and to declare an emergency.
5 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF NORTH DAKOTA:
6 SECTION 1. Section 15-10-43.2 of the North Dakota Century Code is created and enacted
7 as follows:
8 Professional student exchange programs - Repayment waiver.
9 The state board of higher education shall waive repayment requirements for individuals
10 participating in a professional student exchange program in veterinary medicine, dentistry, or
11 optometry who entered an agreement with the state board of higher education pursuant to
12 repealed section 15-10-43.1 during the biennium beginning July 1, 2019, and ending June 30,
13 2021.
14 SECTION 2. REPEAL. Section 15-10-43.1 of the North Dakota Century Code is repealed.
15 SECTION 3. EMERGENCY. This Act is declared to be an emergency measure.
